My husband and I were just talking about the different way people are taught to pray. We have a new member of our ward who grew up in Russia and is having a hard time getting used to the formality of prayer here (thee, thy, etc) because she grew up praying in very informal language, like you would talk to your best friend. Obviously, language and cultural differences are a big part of it, but it was an interesting conversation. However we pray, working towards that sincere, meaningful prayer is important.
