The book went off in a few places, but I thought the ending was absolutely BRILLIANT. A real "thinker" book, and I like those. Isn't it great when you find people who are as passionate as you are about reading?

Something you might be interested in: I am linked up to a website called Goodreads. It's basically a forum for people who love books. You can post reviews about your favorite (or not so favorite books), and I LOVE to see what other people are reading and what they like. Don't feel obligated to sign up for it, but I think it's a great way to share books with my friends! Maybe I'll see you on there one of these days?Miss Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07943741658238267889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486547927809794747.post-19332105744238622142008-06-19T12:27:00.000-06:002008-06-19T12:27:00.000-06:00I liked "The Brothers" a lot, so I will definately...I liked "The Brothers" a lot, so I will definately add this one to my list.
Also, I like tags as well. I don't find them annoying. I have a hard time not rambling on explainations. ;)
<3The Dorsey'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12755834990597645045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486547927809794747.post-24175079704736594582008-06-19T11:51:00.000-06:002008-06-19T11:51:00.000-06:00I was looking through your list of favorite books ...I was looking through your list of favorite books and I like a LOT of them. Of course I love Stephenie Meyer (obviously), and Harry Potter. "Rebecca" is one of my all-time favorites. In fact I just watched the old movie last week with Laurence Olivier. Classic.

I have been reading a lot of really great children's lit lately. It's never too serious, lots of fun, and there are some great writers. I recommend "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli, "Holes" by Louis Sachar, "Ella Enchanted" by Gail Carson Levine, and "The Witch of Blackbird Pond" by Elizabeth George Speare. My sister-in-law also recommended "Book of a Thousand Days" by Shannon Hale, but I haven't started it yet. Hopefully soon!

Anyways...I guess I need to read "East of Eden". I think it's one of the Harvard classics, but I've never picked it up. I love to hear book recommendations, I need to do more reviews of my favorite books on Cupcake Chowder. Thanks!Miss Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07943741658238267889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486547927809794747.post-44118388218359179622008-06-19T11:45:00.000-06:002008-06-19T11:45:00.000-06:00Dear Suzanne-Thank you, thank you, thank you for y...Dear Suzanne-

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your sweet comments on my blog! It really cheered me up. It's always nice to know that there are others out there who may be sharing a large load. Not that I want you to be suffering! Just that I am glad to be on this earth with someone else who might understand where I'm coming from.

If there is anything I have learned from the church it is to "Bear one another's burdens". I think the reason we are on this earth is to make that human connection with one another. I am so grateful for kindred spirits, blog buddies and a great husband. I hope that whatever it is you are going through the Lord sees fit to answer your prayers and ease your mind. Love you, girl!

MeganMiss Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07943741658238267889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-486547927809794747.post-24354490831051691932008-06-19T10:35:00.000-06:002008-06-19T10:35:00.000-06:00Thanks for the good reading list! I just received notice from the library that after 200+ holds, they FINALLY have Twilight on CD on hold for me.
