Do You Remember When?

Since everyone else is doing it and it looks like fun and my friend Kristen did this: I am doing a MEMORY post.

Here are the basic rules:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is most memorable.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog or in my comment box.

3. Remember what your mom taught you; "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." (Ha!)

Ready? Set? GO!

I have lots of memories, but the ones that stick out the most are the Halloween parties we used to have, and how you hated to be scared. I thought that you would never talk to me again after the one we had where I put my doll down in the cellar, and then had Chad's dad start up the chainsaw! I may have peed my pants from laughing so hard at all of you.

I remember when I was pregnant with Tenney and we were down at the cabin, and talked for like 3 hours while the guys were out hunting rabbits. I think it's the closest I felt to you...

There are so many to choose from, but I would have to say the most classic is the time we spent New Years at your cabin and HAD to play CoMotion for like 60 hours straight. At first we were laughing so hard (at the game and at the guys). I will never look at the post in the kitchen the same way. Then we couldn't even throw the game to lose and it got old. Man-those were good times, no kids, no responsibilities (well not too many), no kids.

The first memory I have is when you and Brian first moved into the good ol' 8th ward and spoke in church and I thought your talk was awesome!

I remeber going four-wheeling with Ann, Chad and Brian for Ann's birthday, before Ann and Chad were married. When we stopped to get Brian you were there and were so friendly.
I also have to say I love the comments you leave on my blog and that you always have something positive and uplifing to say!

hmmm...early memories! I remember playing that "aruba jamaica" song over and over in your basement and standing on the table and singing:)
Playing with our my-child dolls
good old magical menagerie
shadow your cat
you always having a diet coke for lunch in junior high
all your baton skills
doing a "recycling" project for enrichment in junior high
I'm sure there's lots more! good times. what a great childhood.

Have you ever seen on the Simpsons when Mr. Burns taps his fingers together and says "Excellent"?

I better think about this one. I'll get back to you. ;)

Katie

I totally blanked that specific trip. I cannot believe how many games we played into the wee hours. I believed the score board is still like Girls -1,234,002 games won, Boys -3 games won. Ha ha! Too funny!

I would have to say my favorite memory of you is when we went and spent the night at Deer Creek and then went boating the next day. You and Jordan stayed in the tent and we slept in the back of the truck. Brian is still trying to get back out there to relive that memory.

Monica,

My only memories of actually talking to you is at Ann's bridal shower and then Ann's wedding. You were so nice to talk to me when I felt so out of place. I am so thankful for blogs because I have gotten to know you better and I think my favorite blog of yours has to be your gratitude blog about moving. That really touched me.

Memories eh? I remember you, Serena, and I (mostly you and Serena) quoting ‘Adams Family Values.’
Polly/Nanny: [holding up a puppet] Hello kiddies, I'm Polly the Puppet. What shall we do today? I know! Let's all clean our rooms!
Wednesday: [holding up evil puppet] Hello Polly, I'll clean my room, in exchange for your immortal soul. [evil puppet rubs hands together]

Good times, good movie!

Ok, here is a really good one. You, me and Britany (and maybe Melissa and Janet?) outside Taylorsville High School having a contest to see who could toss their baton the highest. Then, I think it was you who uttered the words "oh yeah, watch this!" followed by all of our heads falling back as we watched the baton soar into the sky and fall right onto the roof of the gym. Hah, that was great. I think you had to ask 'Dennison' or 'Rickorice' to take you up there to get it back. Good times!

I'll never forget Ann's Christmas party last year when you all saw my husband half naked. The fact that you are still my friend after that proves what a forgiving person you are!

Ok, I found it. I just never read the follow-up comments. That'll show me I guess. I remember that trip. That is like the only camping trip that Jordan and I have been on so of course we refer to it often. I also remember Trae falling of the picnic table-head first-onto the concrete pad. It will be interesting to see if he has damamge from that ;)
