Suzanne = Super Crafty (Sound of shock silences the room!)
I am not sure what has happened to me lately, but my crafty desires have overcome me. We had our Super Saturday with the ward last weekend, and I had to limit myself on what I would be making. Good thing I did, after 4 hours of working, I still had to bring projects home to finish. I am actually quite tickled of my work. Not perfect, but not embarrassing!

This is a bag I made! Super cute and so easy (if you can sew in a straight line!)
I am using it as my scripture bag and I got a ton of compliments on Sunday!
This is a nativity scene that I made for a purpose. It took our family 9, yes 9 years to get a nativity scene in our home for Christmas. I bought it last year after Christmas on sale. Normally $200 set I bought it for $40. It is a white porcelain set and it is very breakable.
So I made this nativity set to entice Shaeler to want to look and touch and destroy. I think that it turned out really cute, and if something falls off, I will just super glue the bad boy together.
Brilliant I tell you, Brilliant!
I have a few other projects I am working on, but I am having the time of my life making things. We ate Top Romen to pay for the Nativity set, but to go from 0 to 2 sets, makes me happy!
I hope you all post what you do for your Super Saturdays or if any "crafty bewitchings" have hit you lately! I would love to know if anyone else has been making something really neat!

I love the nativity set. You did an awesome job. And the bag is really cute. It looks like the perfect size for scriptures. I still have the bag I had when I got my scriptures 21 years ago-sad huh?
I'm sad that our ward isn't doing a super saturday. We didn't really do one last year either and like you, I love to make things. I just don't do it enough-probably cause I'm too lazy!
I wish our ward did Super Saturday different, oh well....less $ I have to come up with right? I've made the bags before and they are cute and easy too! You did a good job.
I need a less breakable nativity too. We have 4 and I love every one. My uncle made us an all white ceramic set that is gorgeous (2peices were broken in one of our moves, I was devistated since there is no way to replace them) my Grandma made me a smaller ceramic white set, my mom gave me a set when we were first married, and a few years ago one of my MIL's got me the willow tree set. I love each of them for different reasons!
Yay for Super Saturdays, and getting crafty!
I especially like the Nativity. I like crafts that are that style.
We do Super Saturdays because I'm in charge of it! We love it!
I'm not sure if I should take pictures or not yet. There may be a few Christmas gifts given to people on my blog, so I've got to decide weather to show them or not.. W'ell see!!
wow, good work. I don't think I could ever make that bag--I don't sew in the slightest. Turned out great.
It's great to have a "kid" nativity. Mariko has hers in her room and every year something breaks. We only have ONE wiseman! oops.
It's fun to make things. I remember how excited I would get when I made up a costume idea for you or Janet.
I am assuming that you are using the soft (Shaeler protected) Nativity Scene for Joyce's Christmas Family Home Evening. It will be perfect. Am I correct?
Keep exploring your hidden talents. I know you have many more that you are yet to discover.
Those are really cute!Good job.
WAY to go you crafty girl! That's all very impressive!
Don't think I've ever heard Jesus/nativity referred to as a "bad boy." Quite a funny play on words....got a laugh out of me!
