Adoption: It's all about love!

When you know it's right, then you know it's right. When you feel that it is wrong, you have to be brave enough to do what is right.

Today, I had an adoption opportunity fall into my lap and after much pondering and prayer, I knew that is wasn't right and we said no. For privacy reasons, I am not going to go into detail, however, I wanted to share that Brian and I have very strong testimonies about the right time with the right family with the right baby. And as tempting as circumstances may present themselves, we have to be in tune with what the Lord wants and what is best for his children.

So tonight, I take a deep breath, I kiss my baby good night, I hug my husband, and I will sleep peacefully and hope that one day, whatever baby(s) that are meant to be with me, that the birthmother will know that I have a glimpse into being brave enough to do what is right.

This is one of the most important decisions of your life, and I can't imagine not counseling with the Lord about it.. I know how badly you would love to have another child in your home, but I really feel that you will know *very strongly* when it is the right thing for you.
I'm sure praying about this was a hard thing to do.....
I'm proud of you and Brian, and all of the growing you have done this past year...
Hold on. Great things will come your way! XO

Oh Suzanne! You are a brave girl. If anyone is in tune with the spirit, I'm sure it's you. I pray that the little spirits who will call you "mom" come at the right time, and in the right way. :)

Suzie,
I'm sorry this was not the right one. I know things will all work out eventually, it's just hard waiting sometimes. Heavenly Father has got a perfect little angel some where for you, I know it. Your to good of a mother to pass up! Until then enjoy not having to change a bunch of poopy diapers I guess.
