Carrie, I really don't care! You can call me Suz for old times sake! I just go by Suzanne as my formal introducation to everyone. But with you, I am Suz. -Suz
I just taught a lesson on the proclamation last week. I love that thing! There are so many great truths and principles in there it was hard for me to limit it to 40 minutes!
Thanks fo reminding me what my REAL job is....it's not maid, cook, washer woman, hairdresser or any of those other things that take up most of my day, it's Mother! What a scarey and amazing responsibility!
Amen! Today I am fully reminded of what sure delight and pleasure it is to be a woman. Even though I grouch alot over the PMS...Spending the day with my nephew and his sweet little spirit makes my world spin and I know my sound, fulfilling purpose as a woman, of what I'm here for. What I love doing. Nurturing him.
The pictures were SO great. I'm really lovin these highlights of the proclamation. They make me smile each time i read them.
Man, I have to tell you. I have really been struggling with this one right now. In fact I almost did a post about it last night. I am really having a hard time, because I'm pretty sure that my toddler hates me. (Apparently I'm not the only one - there are websites dedicated to this topic).
In a nutshell, Peter is a daddy's boy, and if Mike is around I can't do anything for him or even look at him. Yesterday when I came home from work Peter slammed the door in my face, and then started screaming at me for the next 10 minutes. I felt absolutely worthless! It was just the icing on the cake of an already long week of hitting, screaming, tears and frustration.
Things are better today. After I cleaned the living room we spent the next couple of hours singing primary songs, playing with his lego's, and reading books. I just haven't really felt that great about being a mom lately. Sometimes I wonder why I even bothered to have a child?
Sorry about the ranting novel, and thanks for posting this...it definitely has cheered me up some. :)
Just for the record, someone once told me at Enrichment Night after an incredibly bad mommy day to which my oldest (a toddler at the time) declared the upmost HATRED towards me, that if you don't hear I hate you once and a while, you are doing something wrong. Strangely enough, it made me feel better.

Put on thy beautiful garments, O daughters of Zion. Live up to the great and magnificent inheritance which the Lord God, your Father in Heaven, has provided you. Rise above the dust of the world. Know that you are daughters of God, children with a divine birthright. Walk in the sun with your heads high. Know that you are loved and honored, that you are part of His kingdom, and that there is for you a great work to be done which cannot be left to others. - Gordon B Hinckley

I often think " What did I do with my life before I had children?" I honestly can't remember..
