The lovers, the dreamers and me!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. When there is love at home, there is beauty all around.
I was so blessed by my family this year and felt very blessed in my life. Truly, my cup runneth over!

This year, I got a wheat grinder so I can grind my own wheat! Hooray! I started writing down all the recipes I could find for bread, pancakes, waffles, etc.

Mother's Day I was treated to whole wheat pancakes with fresh blueberries and raspberries!

As we were making the pancakes, I noticed Shaeler playing in the family room. However, I caught her sitting in the bucket in deep thought and had to get a shot. For some reason I love this picture.

Today, after I went grocery shopping, I made my first bread. Turned out pretty good!

My expectations are low since this is the first time I have EVER made bread. It smells sssoooo good in my house right now!

I thought it was funny that I was in the kitchen all afternoon barefoot and an apron on. I felt motherly!

Shae came home from school and brought me home this lovely flower in a pot she made at school.

And for a brief moment tonight, we saw a full rainbow that was so bright in color. The picture does no justice to the actual rainbow, but Brian and I loved looking at it. And in a moment, it was gone!

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend. I am thankful for my mother's and all the incredible women in my life!

That is a beautiful rainbow! I grind my own wheat too and I have a great recipe..so easy..90 min. from start to finish with no second rising! It's in a post I did in Sept. 09'...you might want to look at it too. Come say hi :D

So glad you got your wheat grinder! Brian is the king of giving good gifts. :)

That is fantastic that you are making your own bread. There is nothing like baking your own bread. The smell of the house. Yum!

You definitely deserve a great mother's day. I am glad you enjoyed it.

WOW- Bread! I must admit that though my mom taught me to make bread and rolls, I never do it...It's just not my favorite thing to do?

I'm glad you had a great weekend, and I'm lovin' the rainbow picture! I can just imagine how beautiful it really was, pictures just never do them justice!

One day I will buy an apron and you have to teach me how to cook. I don't think I could ever find the courage to attempt canning, baking or anything else that would involve something besides the microwave.

You are an amazing mother and I am thrilled you had such a wonderful Mothers Day. <3
