Huddle in! We are doing an instant replay....

My Dearest Friend,

I know, I know, it has been a while since my last letter, but I have really good excuses this time.  The past week and a half have been the best of times and the worst of times.  Here I will give you the short version of what has been going on:

Saturday after Thanksgiving, I had that weird tummy ache.  Well, it turned into a full blown stomach flu come early Tuesday morning.  I experienced pain in my abdomen that was unreal.  I started throwing up at 3:40 am and then Shaeler joined me in the puking fest at 5:30 am.  The two of us laying in the family room, watching movies and each having their own pink puke bucket is quite the image to remember.  Brian did the best he could to help, but had to leave for work and so we had to fend for ourselves.  It took Shae 2 hours to bounce back to her normal self.  As for me, I felt normal again come Friday.

So, Friday I decided to slam out most of my Christmas Shopping.  I was all over the valley early in the morning, running as fast as I could.  I had to buy a computer from a lady the night before, so I stopped at my work to drop the computer off.  As I was loading the computer onto the elevator, I caught the door with my foot so I could get the rest of my stuff and myself in.  As the doors closed, they stopped with a 3 inch gap and nothing happened.  I pressed the buttons and tried to open the door manually but I was trapped.  The anxiety that took over was unbelievable.  I started to panic.  I pushed the help button and called the alarm system.  I luckily had my cell phone so I called upstairs to my office and cried for someone to come help me.  I then curled up in a ball and cried until my co-workers were able to get the doors open.  I am EXTREMELY claustrophobic and that was really nothing.  But it got to me and and I freaked out.

I received a call that same day from one of my favorite person in the world and she wanted to help me out with my Christmas decorations.  So Saturday, we headed to Tai Wan Imports and picked out Christmas decor of my favorite colors.  See below:

I LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE my new tree with new ornaments.  It was so awesome to be with her and experience her expertise in decorating which I really have none of.   We stopped and had lunch at Kneaders (yay for their baguettes!!) and then we decorated my tree in the afternoon.  Thank you my friend!! From the bottom of my heart!

I really felt like nothing could really top off that experience, until I went downtown for the First Presidency Christmas Devotional.

It seems the hot tickets right now is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with David Archuletta tickets.  My heart was set on hearing the prophet and the 1st Presidency and my dreams came true.

The lights, the music, the choir and the orchestra.  It was all so magnificently put together and it was nice to sit and watch it live.  I loved every minute of it!  Driving in the fog at night was well worth the sacrifice.  I felt like each talk was directly for me and the concerns I was having over the past few days.  I love it when that happens!  Thank you for tickets that have made my Christmas start off right!

Now, I am off to bed a bit earlier tonight.  I am training my brain to be an "AER" with no alarm clock.  This takes work people and I am pooped out!  Until the next post.......................Remember Who You Are!

Always loyal and true!

Suzanne

Suzanne your tree looks gorgeous! That larger netting (sorry don't know what it's called) garland is so "in" right now. I have been seeing it all over and it looks fab!
I LOVE Kneaders! So yum!! I think I could eat there every day of the week!
And OH MY GOSH I would have been right with you crying and scared to death in the elevator. I do not like enclosed spaces like that either. I did get stuck in the elevator at the mall once but it was a glass elevator and I could see out and for some reason that made alot of difference.

Hope you have a great week - Glad you got over being sick fast. You should be good now right!
