For Grandma Suri and Bobbo!

For the last 9 months, Shaeler has been visiting Great Grandma Henrie to learn her sounds and learn how to read. Just recently she has really clicked with her reading and has finally learned how to read her 4th book, which is the first book that they actually have to read from. I taped her today so my mom and dad could see.

I am so thankful that for Grandma Henrie and the time and effort she puts into teaching Shaeler. She has been an angel for me in teaching Shaeler the importance of an education and being confident in learning new things.

It is funny, Shaeler sits at the same table and in the same chair that we (my sister and cousins) sat in when Grandma Henrie taught us all to read and write. The only thing missing is the Tab on the table. And when Shaeler is tired and doesn't want to read anymore, she can get down and play, gets a cookie and a $1. I believe my only other option other than reading was going outside and picking up rotten apricots. :(

This is one of the cutiest things I think I have ever seen. My heart is bursting with love and joy. Thank you for sharing this. My favorite part was when she said she was real good at this and reads fast. She is so precious. Love, Mom

How super cute is that! How old is Shaeler? I think she is reading better than my 6 year old, who is in Kindergarten. I love it when it just clicks for them!

Wow... She's reading already? Crazy. To cute listening to her little voice on the video. She may have to skip Kindergarten, because it may be too boring for her!
That video will be a treasure in the future.

WOW!! Now I feel like a loser! That was amazing. I really can't believe she can do that at three. What a wonderful Grandma.

Go Shae, awsome job! I can't wait for grandma to start working with Sam when we get back into town. She is such a good teacher and I'm sure Sam would love the dollar bills, hehe.
