We had our enrichment last night and I thought Sister C did an awesome job! It was a picnic theme with ants and the theme of the night was "Let us be Serv"ants" Unto Each Other. We had dinner and they had a service auction. Darling, as all her work usually is.
I was not able to stay the whole time, however, my friend Becky did my bidding for me and this is what I got!
I saw Sister K walking in the door with these and loved the idea. They are flower cookies! They are delicious and very darling!
Most of all, I wanted this book mark. It is a tatted bookmark that my dear friend Sister L made and I think that it is most beautiful. I love it most of all because it was made by her. So thankful Becky got this one for me.
The best part for me is that I also donated service for the service auction. Layed before you are 5 gift certificates of 2 hours of service that I will be providing women in my ward. It is whatever they need me to do. I am really excited to be able to serve these women and to help my friends in the ward.
Whohoo for being a Serv"ant" and I cannot wait to get started!

Yay! I LOVE these auctions!!
We've been doing these for almost 8 years because the sisters enjoy them so much. Ours is always in September or October though.
It's funny that you got the tatted bookmark. 2 years ago I got a tatted doily, and it still is one of my favorite items from the auctions.
Now, as for what you gave... If the sisters really use it.... ( and you may have to keep track of who got them --becuase it really is hard to call someone and ask for help -even though they won them ) but girl.. It will be the BEST thing for them, and it will be VERY rewarding for you as well. What a great person to volunteer yourself to them! Very cool.. Very, Very cool.
