This week has been a really great week and it has been one of the busiest and greatest weeks ever. I thought I would post the highlights today!
My mom came into town to visit because she had to see the dentist and get her hair done. I asked her if I could have an old rocking chair that was in the home I grew up in that was at Mary's house. (Mary is the friend that use to live 2 doors down from us and she does my mom's hair). She said I could and so off to Mary's to get the chair. Voila! My first piece of old furniture.
It needs a few repairs, but the old girl is still kickin and a rockin. My memories of this chair is my mom sitting in this chair blow drying my hair when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I really like the chair and I am so tickled that my mom let me have it! YAY!!
Second, Shaeler started school this week. I took her out for the traditional first day of school pictures and I am so tickled, with my new camera, they turned out great! This is one of my favorite shots of her.

Yeah for pre-school!!! That picture is so cute. I wish they were in the same class ... or at least the same age. Little Learners is going to be sick of us come the year 2010. Wow. We need to chat. Call me and we'll take the kids to lunch.
Suzanne- I LOVE the chair. The look of it is so darling, but I love that there are memories attached to it as well. That's why I love heirlooms.
Your Mom was sweet in letting you enjoy it now...
Shae's hair looks cute. I like the no-bangs look. After I grew out Tenney's, I thought why didn't I do this LONG ago? It's much easier, and not in the eyes..
Shea looks adorable! I'm glad you had a good visit with mom. She was very happy last night when I picked her up at the airport.
what a pretty girl you have!!! she has such cute little features.
What camera did you end up getting? I am in the market...
What a neat chair! And the photo of Shae is great. Isn't it fun to have a NEW camera?
