My Spiritual Feast Day 1!

This weekend could come close to being probably the best weekend of my life, although misses it barely because Shae is not here to share it with us. I know, I know, her being away was probably the biggest reason that I could relax and enjoy all the many incredible experiences I have had the last 4 days, but not having her here with me, takes a little happiness away from it. So the things that I am about to share with you on my weekend is to document and share the spiritual feast I was able to partake. There is so much to share that I am going to have to break it down day by day:

DAY 1: Psalms 27:4 - One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

It began Thursday, when Brian and I went to the temple. I cannot think of a better way to start my Spiritual weekend then at the Temple. Nothing brings me greater joy than at an Endowment session learning, participating, witnessing and honoring the covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father 9 years ago. This day, I used my tabernacle for a special friend so that she too can receive the blessings and joys from making the same convenants. In a way, it was her spiritual weekend too, that she had waited for over 450 years. Sacred things happened in the temple that day and what a blessing to be there and experience it. I guess I chose to start my weekend by doing the closest thing that comes to going home and being able to feel my Father's love and warmth.

I could not think of a better start than at the Temple! How lucky and blessed I am that the temple is so close to my home!

Your right-what a way to start your weekend. Congrats on making it to the temple. Something always seems to happen whenever Jordan and I want to go (last time I was sick-because of the pregnancy I later found out) but we try to overcome them.

Sorry that I totally missed the meeting. Jordan called earlier then expected and I had to go and get him and Trae. I should have called, but my phone died and I didn't have my charger. I'm sure you had fun without me though!

I'm glad you had a good break. You and Brian needed it.

We said goodbye to Shae three hours ago and I am already missing her. If you need a break again, do not hesitate sending her down. We love every moment she is here. Robert was very upset that he forgot to hug her goodbye, so we may be calling tomorrow to see how her flight was.
