Got Zits?

I did it! I marched right into the dermatologists office and demanded that my acne be gone! I have had enough. Give me the medicine, I pronounced! If there is going to be no baby, then at least give me clear skin. My acne is worse than when I was a teenager.

I have been seeing a dermatologist for 2 years now, and when I first went to him, he gave me a prescription that cleared my acne up like a blue sky day. One day, I was reading the pharmacists little love note that they always give you when you fill up and all I saw was

WARNING: Do not take if you are trying to get pregnant or if you are pregnant.

Well, the medicine came to a screeching halt and I went off. Goodbye my friend.

And so here we are 18 months later, NO BABY and acne that makes me cry every day.
I don't understand, I faithfully wash my face day and night, yet the hormones produce the deep, painful cysts under my skin, neck, shoulder, back and chest.

ENOUGH! I cried out yesterday morning and so I went back on the acne medication and was informed that if I do get pregnant again, I just go back off. Easy as that! So I am hoping that this nightmare of acne/zits will come to a screeching halt.

I was laughing the other night with a friend as we looked at picture before and after. Before Calling: smooth skin, no zits and no wrinkles. During Calling: zits, wrinkles and sleepy eyes. It made me think of the Ugly Mantle picture.

Have you seen the ugly mantle hit you in any part of your life?

I have been in and out of dermatologists for years. I feel your pain honey, I really do! Luckily for me Proactiv has been very helpful. Good luck with your new regimen!

Wow...just glad that ugly mantle and I do not share the same boobies. I, my friend, share your pain with the acne. I had perfect skin as a teenager, it has been since I turned 30 that I have struggled with breakouts. What the heck?

I have never even noticed you have zits. Where?? They must be hidden.
I had zits bad throughout different times in life, but for some reason, I hardly get them anymore. (Thankfully) I visit the Dermatoligist enough without needing to add one more thing to the plate! :)

Glad you noticed the label!
Stress will do it to you! :)

Ha! That picture is beyond scary. You in NO WAY resemble that character!

The only thing that you and that terrible picture resemble is the cleft in the chin.

You are beautiful and everyone gets zits. Have you seen the one on the back of my neck? I think I am growing a new personality. Ah, was that TMI?

Good luck with the new medicine and I can't wait to see everyone soon.

Gosh, I could not be more floored. If there's one thing I've always noticed in your pics it's how smooth and pretty your skin is--no lie. I really am surprised about this. But I would definitely do something about it--several people in my family have been miserable with zits and that's just it--it makes you miserable! Do what you need to do. And yes--whenever cold winter hits I feel like that horrendous mantle monkey--wrinkly, dry chappy, blotchy skin--I think this time of year is never good on my looks! I relate sista!

Apparently, the make up has been doing wonders. Trust me, I have a problem. -Suzanne

I have never even noticed. It looks like you have clear skin to me. I know how you feel though. I don't have problems with zits (watch, I'll have a whole facefull now on Friday), but I have other problem with my body that only I see. And that is all that matters really.

I'm sorry you feel so bad about this. I think that you are extremely beautiful-both inside and out.

I had acne from 13 to 26. Never severe but enough to make me insane!!! At 26 I did acutane. And let me tell you, it was worth whatever it did to my liver! It changed everything for me!

Great picture!!!

Ya, acutane is the miracle drug! (I took it twice) Also, a quick face-mask in the morning helps me...
