On the Lord's Errand If We Will Just Listen and then Do!

"Miracles are everywhere to be seen when priesthood callings are magnified. When faith replaces doubt, when selfless service eliminates selfish striving, the power of God brings to pass His purposes.
We are on the Lord's errand.
We are entitled to the Lord's help. But we must try. From the play Shenandoah comes the spoken line which inspires: 'If we don't try, then we don't do; and if we don't do, then why are we here?'Let us, one and all, be doers of the word and not hearers only (see James 1:22). Let us follow the example of our President, Gordon B. Hinckley, the Lord's prophet.May we as did the Savior's followers of old, respond to the invitation, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men' (Matthew 4:19)."
- President Thomas S. Monson, "Anxiously Engaged," Ensign, Nov. 2004

There is much to do for the Lord if we will just look for it and then do something to make a difference. The only reason that I am sharing with you all that we do this kind of activity is to express my love to be able to do this kind of work. Everyone should have an experience like this, exspecially around Christmas time. I wish you all could have been in my pocket today as I spent the day shopping with my friend Kristen doing Sub4Santa work. I am so grateful to so many people tonight that I would be sick not to express my gratitude.

Thank you to Macy's and Becky, Aaron and all 4 Macy checkers that helped us with our grocery shopping and cart.

Thank you Target and the tall young man (Wally) for assisting me and Kristen out in the freezing cold to push shopping carts straight on ice.

Thank you Shayn for your letting us use your trailer!

Thank you Kristen for being my shopping partner!

Thank you to all those who contributed donations to helping us in our Sub4Santa efforts.

Thank you to the family that allowed us the honor to serve them. Thank you for allowing me to share this experience with my daughter so she can witness what Christmas is really all about. The best gift I will have been given this Christmas was the opportunity to serve you in whom I love and who the Savior loves. May you have a very Merry Christmas and we love you!
P.S. Working the 4th of July was totally worth it!

I love doing doing Santa stuff around Christmas. It probably makes me happier than the people I am surprising. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun and KUDOS to you!

I totally agree with the feeling. As I've been watching the news about the shortage of donations and the overwhelming need for people to adopt and angel, Jordan and I decided to take a toy of Trae's and Elie's and donate it to someone on the angel tree. It isn't a whole family, but its a start. I want my kids to learn the true spirit of giving.

You are my inspiration. What a good example you are to all those you come in contact with. I know our Father in Heaven is so proud of you. You are such a wonderful person. You make me want to be better. Thank you.
