My Review: One Tattered Angel

I am a wee bit behind on my book reviews. More like 3 books, but I will catch up. This is a book that was given to me by a dear friend who in conversation is a kindred spiritual friend.
One Tattered Angel is a true life story of the author Blaine Yorgason and his wife adopting a little girl. This little girl is truly special in that she was born without a cortex, meaning the brain.
This is an amazing story about how truly the spirit is just as powerful or even more powerful than a full functioning mind. As we watch the trials and life lessons taught by Charity even though she cannot speak and communicate the really important things in life come blazing through.
To put it bluntly, I cried. I was so touched by the pure innocense that a little one can remind us and what is really important in life.
Funny thing, I read this book during the time period that I had to completely redo my adoption paperwork and itsaboutlove.org site. It completely changed my perspective and even my case worker questioned some of the decision I made and I told her, I was 100% sure.
A very short easy small book to read and an amazing ending. Want a quick read to get through a couple of hours. Get this book. It was a blessing to me!

I read this book years ago and had forgotten the story until I read your post. I do remember it being very touching. I may have to read it again.
It really is an amazing story of love.

Like Megan said..No brain??
I'm always amazed at what people can do, who, no matter what, are meant to be here on this earth and share there stories.
