I'm Not Ignoring You, I Promise!

I know, I know! I've been MIA and I look at the computer every day because I have so much to post about, but alas, I only get 24 hours in a day.
I will update you on a few things that have happened recently:
1. We spaded and declawed the cat.
Oh, the guilt as I took my little kitty in to the Vet. I hoped and prayed that she would not be angry with me when I would go and pick her up the next day. Hey, you try having your fingernails permantly removed and become barren and try to have a fantastic day/life.
The vet informed me that she needed a special kitty litter for the next two weeks. This is what the stuff looks like:

They look like guinea pig pellets or something. She did not like it one bit. I caught her the first night her bandages off on top of the washer and she yanked off the lid to her old kitty litter box to get in. Alrighty then!

2. Shae lost her first tooth.

For three weeks, I have had to endure watching her putting her hands in her mouth and a small tooth dangling when not being played with. I finally convinced her to let me give it one tug with a floss that has a handle and I pulled that baby out. Yay!

What I wasn't prepared for was the drill down on the tooth fairy. I thought that after confirming that a tooth fairy comes and you get money under your pillow that it would be the end of the conversation. Oh no!

"What does the tooth fairy look like?"

"How does she get in my room?"

"How does she carry my tooth?"

"What does she do with the teeth?"

"Where does she store them?"

"Where does she get the money?"

On, and on I am struggling for an answer as Brian is telling her that the tooth fairy gathers all the teeth and they have formed a huge tooth mountain. She then takes the teeth and makes necklaces out of them that she sells to the Indians. Ok, REALLY!! That is what he comes up with? I told Shae we would go find a book at the library and get the real details.

3. I am very STRESSED!
It has been one stressful time for me. Stress = ZITS! On top of that, I had to go off my zit meds and than just amplifies the problem. What am I stressing about, well that brings us full circle as to why I have been MIA for a few days.
a. My friend died and we attended her viewing and funeral.
b. My month of November in Young Womens looks like I will never be home.
c. Shae's pioneer dress has taken my patience to a whole new level.
d. My house looks like someone dropped a trash bomb on it.
e. Frustrated that I haven't been able to work out for 2 weeks.
f. Dissapointed in myself that I have gone back to the cake mix powder for comfort.
g. My days are never long enough to get done what I need to get done.
Wow! That came out pretty rapidly. I feel better, although the zits are still there. Oh well! Such is life!
Well, I better run! Later GATOR!

I should have photo bombed that picture you took of yourself at cornbellys. That would have been more exciting that the guy trying to pretend he raced pigs for a living and yet couldn't maintain his southern drawl.

Sorry you are so stressed, you did have a lot hit you at once. Plus we were there, which I'm sure added to the fun. We did have a great time and thank you for spending so much of your days with us. The kids and I love you and Shae so much.

Congratulations on completing the costume. I would love to see a picture of Shaeler in her new costume.

Your kitty looked so sad with her legs all wrapped up, but I think she holds no grudges. She looks at you with such love in her cute kitty eyes.

Thanks again for sharing your time with us. I know how busy you are, but it was wonderful spending time with both Shaeler and you.

Next time you have so much to sew, please ask me to help. I never know when I should step in our stay out. I can share some shortcuts and tricks that I learned from Granny when she taught me to sew.

Next adventure together will be quilting. When you visit in December, I will have a quilt set up and show you some different things that mom and Granny showed me. We can't wait to see all of you again. Love ya.

P.S. I was wondering why you took a picture of yourself with your eyes closed. Now it makes sense.

I love that the kitty broke into it's regular kitty box. Smart cat! LOL!

How exciting for Shealer. I remember being so excited as a kid when I lost a tooth.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. You have a lot on your plate. Hang in there!

You have a full plate. I understand about the zit thing - why does the stress have to show on our faces??? Why not behind the knees or at the back of the neck. Oh My.
Happy things - Shae's first lost tooth to sad things - the death of your friend.
I hope you get a moment to rest and feel a little peace if your crazy life.
Take a breather if you can!
