Gratitude is a blessing!

We were asked last week in Sunday School what our favorite talk from General Conference was.  In my heart I shouted:  President Monson's talk on gratitude!!

I also have been working on my PP, and #1 is to list out all the small acts of kindness those around do for you and recognize their acts of kindness.  So today's post is recognizing those attributes and then figuring out how I can show my gratitude for those that have been so kind to me.

Here we go:

I am grateful for:

A loving Heavenly Father, friends who listen and are concerned, neighbors going beyond the usual, family who is eager to help me, coworkers that laugh with me, open communication with my spouse, an obedient and humble daughter, leaders who inspire me, apostles teaching truth, youth who lead by example, trials, frustration, long suffering and trying to understand a bit more of unconditional love.

Today, I struggle, however if I focus on my blessings, it could turn out to be a wonderful day!

I too loved President Monson's talk. I think gratitude is a prerequisite to most other virtues. And I agree that focusing on our blessings helps us deal with the struggles of life. We always got a chuckle out of my mother in law. We always knew when she was struggling because she would be singing "Count Your Blessings" or writing us letters listing them.

Best of luck with everything in your life.
