My Cup Runneth Over!

There are moments in my life where I feel that I am blissfully happy. Tonight was one of those nights. It has become a tradition with the Young Women that around Christmas time we cook up our favorite treat, bring the recipe and have a Christmas party. It has been a while since I have blogged about the youth and I would like to express my deepest love for them.
I love working with the youth because I feel like I can be my best self with them. In many ways, I feel like I am still 12 years old. Mathew Cowley tells a story about a man that raises a horse to be a race horse. He places the horse in many races in which the horse never wins. When asked why he keeps placing his horse in all these races, the man replies "He gets to hang around with the best."
In many ways, I can testify that I get to hang around with the best.
The youth are very special. They are strong, they have courage, and He is with them. They are the next generation for this world and I can feel with every fiber in my bones that they have a very HUGE responsibility ahead of them. They bring me great joy because the spirit is still very strong with them and the world has not quite corrupted their innocence. They have their entire future ahead of them and they have a willingness that is uncomparable. I have an unbelieveable group of girls. They are so wonderful and each I could call my friend. They are good, wholesome and virtuous. In fact, they are royalty!
My cup runneth over as I giggled with the girls tonight. I realize my time is limited and not forever, and so that encourages me to savor every moment! They get 110% of me during this time and I would gladly give them more if I had it!

Hee hee - I love the mirror photo! Is that what you ended up with? I can't remember. My pretzels are almost gone...SHAYN HELPED! Geesh - I don't eat THAT much. :)

Fun night! Next week will be great too - love these Christmas activities!

Kristen,

Nope, I traded the mirror with Becky for the blank note cards! I left an extremely happy girl. I feel bad that Caroline got my "hot cocoa" bag from A! Ha ha! -Suzanne

I can see that you truly show your true self around the girls.
