21 Day Challenge: Day 7

Day 7

Day 7 was a huge lesson on positive thinking! Being kind and reaching out to others thrives in postive environments. Especially a positive mind.

First, I think that one part of having postive mental thought process is having a sense of humor. Laughter brings great joy. Finding the joy in any situation lightens the burden and brightens any day. I love to laugh and I love to laugh with others. Laughter also brings people togther. Everyday I need to laugh.

Second, I think another part of having a positive mental attitude is surrounding myself with postive people. This is where I am very lucky! I have positive people all around me and that helps me a ton. For example, today I received the most exciting news and I immediately contacted my husband and dear friend because I knew that they would truly rejoice with me! Or I was also able to go to lunch with a dear friend who I have known since college and how easy it is to be myself with her because we love and care about each other. When I feel down and want to withdraw from the world, I know that there are friends that I can turn to and they always build me back up. I hope that I can do the same for them. Only triple the amount they give to me.

Third, I have found that I have to have a genuine hope for people. Even when someone offends or hurts me, I still believe that there is a good person inside and I just have to keep looking for that good person. If I allow anger, negativity or hate consume me, then the only person it hurts is myself. I actually become worse to allow such emotions consume me, and leave lesser of a person than I began. I truly believe that people are good, sometimes we just get distracted with other things.

I find that when I am happy and feel positive within my head that being afraid or feeling insecure cannot exist at the same time. Perhaps this challenge made a major shift in that it is more about finding joy in the journey and then bringing that joy to others. Funny thing is that it can only begin with a hello or by initiating conversation with someone.

Deep thoughts brought to you today by Suzanne. I'm exhausted! I'm going to bed!

Laughter is truly the best medicine. I love to laugh too. It is the best.

I think there is good in people too. I don't like confrontation, so I am pretty easy going. It takes a lot to make me mad at someone and usually that is when someone is mad at me for something I didn't even mean to do. I get over it pretty quickly though because like I said I don't like confrontation. And like you said it only hurts you. I also apologize to that person because I may not have meant to upset them but I did.

Thanks for such a positive post. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you for asking about adding me to your sidebar. I am glad you did. I added you to mine the day you commented on my blog. I hope you don't mind. I should have asked you.

Those are great thoughts. I am with you on the laughter. I am definately a glass "whole" full person. I would much rather find the good, the laughter and the fun in everything around me.

I like that you have hope in people. That is wonderful and made me think whether I do. It is a good thing to practice - It is charity!
