The Greek Guy Swears by it!

I am into a new yogurt that I had never heard of before until a week ago.

It's called Fage, and it is a greek yogurt.

It's actually pretty good. It has the consistency of sour cream and the taste too, but one happy little Stevia sweetner and now we are getting closer to the taste and thickness of a cream. I likey!

On top of that, the 80 calorie cup has 13 grams of protein! SCORE!!

I was at the store today buying my weeks worth of Fage yogurt, when an elderly gentleman stopped me:

"You must really like it, if you buy that much."

"Why, yes, I do like it." I reply.

"Well, I'm from Greece and that is authentic greek yogurt. You won't get anything closer than that, however you can get them 50 cents cheaper at Target. That's where I stock up." he says with his greek accent.

"Well, that is just awesome! Thank you for sharing that with me."

He walked away to the other end of the store as I collected the rest of my yogurts.

It's nice when people share their opinions with you. I got the stamp of approval from a greek stranger AND I feel a little more cultured because of my new found taste.

Here is some information on the yogurt below, if by chance I have caught your attention.

In 1926, Athanassios Filippou opened a small dairy that soon became known for its delicious, creamy Greek yogurt. The business grew, and in 1964, the company's first yogurt-producing factory was opened.
FAGE (pronounced "fa-yeh") has come a long way from its humble beginnings. It's now Greece's biggest dairy company, producing fresh milk, cheese and yogurt for customers worldwide.

I love Greek yogurt. My daugther introduced it to me a while back but I have been getting it at Trader Joe's. I didn't even know you could get it at Target. Thanks for the tip.
